Together, we can build a multiracial democracy that allows all of us to thrive and live in our full dignity.
The State Voices Affiliated Network is a nonpartisan network of 25 state-based coalitions called “State Tables” that collectively partner with over 1,200 organizations. Together, we fight for a world where every vote is counted, every voice is heard, and every need is met.
As advocates, organizers, and activists united across the U.S., we work together to fight for a healthy democracy and political power for Black, Indigenous, Latinx, Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI), and all people of color (BIPOC).
Whether State Tables and their partners are running voter registration drives, sharing COVID-19 information with communities, or advocating for reproductive justice, we fight for the needs of our communities and know we’re strongest together.
All power should be with the people.
We must create a democracy where everyone counts, regardless of race, gender, sexuality, disability, nationality, or class.
We must create a democracy that enables everyone to have the resources they need to live and thrive.
We must center the experiences, voices, and votes of marginalized people to get there.
We collaborated with seven BIPOC artists, asking them to create art in response to the following prompt: “What does building BIPOC political power mean to you?”
This morning, we joined @TJC_DC, @Georgia_NAACP, @ACLUofGA, and others at a rally in Atlanta, demanding 100% justice for #AhmaudArbery. We stood in solidarity with Arbery's family to call for the FULL accountability of the men convicted of his murder. #BlackLivesMatter
Last night, the State Senate passed HB 1104, a previously good bill suddenly amended to restrict transgender students from participating in schools sports with their peers and from using the correct school restrooms & locker rooms.

Today, for Women's History Month, we celebrate Mary Philbrook of Mi’kmaq Nation (1956-2015), who generously worked for her community throughout her life.
Notably, she was the first woman to lead Mi’kmaq Nation (then the "Aroostook Band of Micmacs").

Before the session ends on 3/28, educate your elected on why they should co-sponsor the #ReproductiveFreedomAct, which would realize Georgia’s commitment to freedom, compassion & healthy communities.

I've worked for more than 20 years advancing policy solutions that build economic opportunity in the South. I came to Demos knowing that people power is critical to build a multiracial democracy. And I know that we must center Black and brown people.
