Iridane Sanchez has joined State Voices as our new Data and Technology Senior Training Manager. Iridane previously served as the Data and Program Manager for Silver State Voices. Prior to joining the table, she worked as a Comprehensive Immigration Reform Organizer and Voter Registration Supervisor for Mi Familia Vota in Nevada. Most recently, she worked on a winning competitive primary race in her state. She was drawn to this work by her own struggle as an undocumented immigrant. In 2012 President Obama’s executive order gave Iridane, and millions of people like her, the opportunity to live and work in the country without fear of deportation. In 2016 she qualified for permanent residency. She still fights for a complete and permanent solution for her mother and other undocumented families who are still at risk of being torn apart. She’s currently a student at the University of Nevada Las Vegas, majoring in Political Science.
