Making Tech Work

Making Tech Work is a guide to helping organizations think about the online tools available today.  We encourage organizations to read the guide and to download, print out, and color in the TechMaps to help them in their technology planning.

•    Making Tech Work.pdf - is a simple guide to online tools - we tried to touch on the broad array of tools available while keeping the document easy to read and as brief as possible.
•    TechMap Blank.pdf - is a visual representation of tools organized by the reference categories in Making Tech Work.  Organizations should feel free to print it out and use it for their own planning or to evaluate vendor services.  We encourage coloring/highlighting bubbles in any way an organization thinks is useful - even grading tools with partially filled bubbles.
•    TechMap - Scenario 1.pdf - is one representation in the TechMap of the first Scenario in Making Tech Work.  We did this as one example on how to use the TechMap and added notes for context on the second page.

WVWV Survey of Post-Election Attitudes among Unmarried Women, Latinos, African-Americans and Youth Voters

WVWV looked at the Rising American Electorate (unmarried women, African-Americans, Latinos, and youth voters) to gauge their attitudes about different agenda issues and their potential for drop-off in 2009-2010. Our goal, of course, will be to figure out what we can do to keep these voters engaged in 2009 and 2010, particularly unmarried women in our case. Since I know our groups work with a lot of these constituencies in various capacities, I wanted to share the research.

We did a memo and a powerpoint with the results of the survey.  Both are attached.  Please feel free to contact me with any questions!  bchilders@wvwv.org
