CEP is a nonprofit organization, as defined by section 501 (c) 3 of the Internal Revenue Code, founded in 2008 to engage in research and education regarding the economic, national energy security and cost savings benefits of energy efficiency measures and clean energy sources and the long term environmental, health and economic costs of over reliance on traditional fossil fuels.
