Mission

Our mission is to defend and promote the fundamental principles and values embodied in the Bill of Rights, the U.S. Constitution, and the Pennsylvania Constitution, including freedom of speech and religion, and the rights to privacy equality and due process of law for all Pennsylvanians. We are a not-for-profit, nonpartisan organization with three offices and more than 18 thousand members across the state. The ACLU does not endorse or oppose any candidate or party, but we believe that no civil right is more important in our democracy than the right to vote.
