Julie Funke
Julie Funke currently serves as the Finance Director of State Voices. She is excited to be able to support such an important movement through her strengths in accounting, finance and nonprofit management.
She started her career with Ernst & Young as an auditor and then worked as the Assistant Controller of Hamilton Anderson Associates, an architecture, landscape architecture and design firm headquartered in Detroit. As a dedicated volunteer, she served on the Board of Directors as Treasurer for Looking For My Sister - a domestic violence organization located in Detroit. She is also an active volunteer for Sierra Club and the Royal Oak, Michigan, chapter of the Jaycees.
A lifelong Michigan resident, Julie obtained her undergraduate degree in Economics and her masters degree in Accounting from the University of Michigan, and is a registered Certified Public Accountant in the State of Michigan.
In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, yoga, urban biking and tending to her small, yet flourishing, tomato garden in the summer.
