Becca Rueble currently serves as State Voices' Communications and Technology Director. In this capacity, she facilitates the sharing of best practices and resources within the State Voices network, promotes the innovative work happening at State Voices' 16 501(c)(3) civic engagement tables, and works to get groundbreaking technology into the hands of grassroots organizations in the states. Prior to joining the State Voices team, Becca worked as a Program Manager for the University of Michigan's Women in Science and Engineering Program, where she implemented online strategies to increase adolescent girls' interest in science, technology, engineering and math. She served on the U-M President's Advisory Commission on Women's Issues, advising administrators on matters impacting female faculty, students and employees, and worked for several projects at the Institute for Research on Women & Gender. Becca graduated from the University of Michigan with dual degrees in Women's Studies and Spanish Language & Literature, and while a student was the editor of the university's nationally recognized progressive opinion journal. In addition to her work with State Voices, Becca does freelance writing, design and web development. She lives and works in Detroit.
